summer 2011: scarf prints

This was my final project for one of my classes in Florence. The assignment was to design three different prints that would fit on a 36" by 36" silk scarf. We even had to submit our designs to Spoonflower.com and have them print out test swatches as part of the assignment. The first print in this series is a vectorized and recolored version of a photograph I took of the fireworks during the festival of San Giovanni; the other two feature vector drawings of an old Victorian dress form I photographed in one of the oldest fabric stores in Florence.
